Ascogaster annularis
Description
A member of a group of species with unusually short antennae (25 or fewer segments). It is recognized by the apex of the carapace in females being emarginate posteroventrally, the temples being about equal to or longer than eyes in dorsal view and the scutellum being smooth, shiny, and punctate. Two yellow spots can always be found at the base of the carapace. Ecology
