Description
This species was synonymised with
Zemiophora scutulata
in Schmiedeknecht (1913)

. The colouration described in the original description

is however significantly different from
Z. scutulata
[

]
, and since one specimen that matches
Z. brichkei
and is genetically distinct from
Z. scutulata
exists on
BOLD
,
Z. brichkei
is here treated as it's own species.
